The Band welcomes all prospective members. Some instruments are available and tuition can be arranged for juniors or adult late-starters. The Band has a very friendly atmosphere and a current active membership of more than 30.
The membership fees for the Band are quite small. They are currently $70 for an adult per year and $35 for a child, full time student or aged concession holder. Family membership is $110 covering parents and full time students.
It is expected that all members will attend a vast majority of rehearsals and performances as these raise the revenue to keep the Band going.
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7.30pm at the Band Shell on Macintosh Island, Surfers Paradise. Visitors are always welcome.
Training band/learners classes are free of charge and are held on Friday evenings commencing at 7pm. Please phone in advance (Alan at 0405126804) to confirm your attendance.
