New Band Hall – July 2021

Address: Benowa Hall, Sir Bruce Small Park, Benowa, QLD 4217.
(Entry via Allchurch Ave.)

On the 17th July 2021 Surfers Paradise Brass moved out of their old shared premises and into their own band hall!  All band members contributed in some way for us to achieve this, with all the legal paperwork and communication from a variety of sources, we got there.

To celebrate, we held an opening day ceremony (click here for photos) and a musical performance on 21st November 2021 inviting members of the public, and also council dignitaries whose assistance in acquiring the hall were amazing.

Both bands performed beautifully, much to the delight of the audience, some of whom had never before heard a brass band.

What a fabulous day it was, what with the sumptuous sausage sizzle, presentation of awards, and the highlight of the day: the renaming of our band hall to, The Alan Trueman Band Hall – a well-deserved recognition of the immense contribution Alan has made to our Band, over so many years.
